As you can probably see, I didn't have a very exciting February. Here are some random pictures of some birthday flowers, work lunches and outfits. I was very excited for the new macbook pro release a week ago. Though the iPad 2 completely stole its thunder. I patiently waited for months now to upgrade my computer. It was finally here! I'm not ashamed to admit I was at the store on the day of the release.

Sorry I've been so terrible with updates. I just came back from a fun-filled/not too relaxing vacation. I hope to do an outfit post this week. I can totally relate to other bloggers with bad winter lighting, it's almost dark by the time I get home from work :(

I have been wearing really lazy and boring outfits lately, I haven't felt very inspired and the weather hasn't helped either. This nude dress immediately caught my attention when I went to H&M a couple of weeks ago, I thought I would show you how beautiful the color and ruffles are. It can be worn strapless, with one shoulder up , or with both straps like I did.

Anyways, happy belated Canadian Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my family, friends, bf, the Internet, good shoes, coffee, delicious food, iPhone games, and my new love, Cooper!

I wore this yesterday for some shopping and eating. Fall is officially here, I think it's time to get out tights and boots! I have been shopping at H&M way too much lately, I bought another dress on Friday night only to find out what it actually looks like a day later. A super nice sales associate told us to get the H&M app, if you shake your phone, a coupon will pop up! right now it's got a 20% off any one item until the 23rd! And it's free! He also said they will keep adding different coupons as they expire. I used my friend's coupon on Friday because I couldn't download it in the store, THANKS FRIEND!

I wore these wedges because we had a lunch reservation at Nobu afterwards and needed to dress up a little bit. I'm back from NYC! The city was as amazing as I expected it to be. The above images were taken at the hotel we stayed in. It was a really modern and trendy hotel!

My first slice of New York Pizza (11 PM) after a day of shopping. It was delicious!

We scheduled a food tour on the Saturday and we had some time before we had to meet with our group. So we walked to Central Park (which was only a block from our hotel). It was a beautiful day and the park was filled with people running, biking, and playing baseball. The park makes you forget that you are in one of the busiest cities of the world. It was such a perfect way to start our day. I'm so jealous that New Yorkers get the busy exciting lifestyle AND a beautiful peaceful park to relax and exercise in. How perfect!

I got this bubble skirt last year and I've only worn it a couple of times because of how insanely short it is. I really love the color and the shape of it. It's so fun! Last week I found it again and wore it with a casual top and denim shorts underneath.

My NYC trip is approaching soon, I'm getting super excited! Yesterday I found out that New York Barney's Warehouse sale starts on the day I get there. I'm pretty sure that just re-confirmed my belief in fate..If you are in any of these cities or visiting around that time, be sure to check it out. Okay I am not going to complain, but I'm sure when I say I could use to lose 5 pounds, a lot of you can relate. After looking at these pictures, I slightly regretted the Big Mac I ate on Friday. I need to hit the gym and get toned. twice a week! not. even. kidding. I don't believe that your weight really matters, but staying healthy and feeling good about yourself is a must. I am guilty of relying on my metabolism and my relatively "healthy" diet throughout the week. but oh man, when weekend comes around. I'm all WHERE IS MY GREASY FOOD? My point is, I need to eat out less and work out more.EAVB_GZIOBLWJKE

Anyways, thanks for your suggestions for NYC from my last post! I will definitely keep those on my to do list. Here are some of the things we are planning to visit:

Day Sail It's a great way to see the Statue of Liberty without the crowds and waiting in line, you pay a little extra but I think it's worth it especially in the middle of August.. GiltCity is currently having a sale for the night sail($35). but we decided a day sail is probably a better choice for us
Greenwich Village Food Tasting Tour over 4000 positive reviews, you can't go wrong with this
Top of the rock, I've heard from a few people to avoid the line at empire state building and instead go to the top of the rock both during the day and night for amazing views!

I wore this outfit for a quick dinner tonight. By quick, I mean Smoke Salmon pizza, Mediterranean Flatbread and two scoops of gelato. Ate too much, as usual..
This floral dress is from Zara a couple of months ago, it's got a cool criss cross back which I clearly forgot to capture in photos. I really love the print and fit of this dress, but it is SO short (and it rides up) that I rarely wore it. In effort to show my neglected clothes some love, I thought it would be nice to wear it out again. Though I got a bit self-conscious when I realized I was at a pizza place wearing 5 inch wedges and a short dress. Then I shrugged it off and was all what else is new.

Anyways, I have been doing lots of research for my upcoming New York trip! I'm so excited I made a huge list of things I want to see and eat (so I won't forget). Does anyone have any recommendation for must-see, must-eat, must-shop places? I would love to hear!

Anyways, I have been wearing my new Miu Miu like dress from Zara A LOT. It's comfortable and flattering. I usually wear it with this bright red jacket to add some color to my outfit.

Thanks so much for your sweet comments from my last post!!! I've decided to keep the wedges :) I wore them ALL day yesterday at a mall, walking around for hours and they kept my feet pretty pain free. HAPPINESS!! <3

I'm so happy to be blogging again. the weather has been gloomy and I have been feeling uninspired. I didn't get to wear these shoes out today because it was raining (again).

I called Gap last week and was excited to find out that they had these in store. I convinced I did NOT need them after trying them on and contemplating. but I ended up getting them anyways which clearly indicates my concept of self-control. Now I am feeling really guilty because I'm supposed to be saving for my big NYC trip coming up!! what do I do guys?? keep them and have these beautiful wedges that will go with everything this summer or return them and be good..

Happy Mother's day to moms. It is the hardest job! I have a little brother that is much much younger than me and it made me appreciate my mom so much more. I got to see firsthand what it takes to raise a kid and how much sacrifices my mom made.

We celebrated another birthday this weekend. Happy Birthday Abby! I got her a Betsey Johnson dress and baked some heart shaped brownies for her. It fit her really well and the color looks really great on her. She wore a beautiful dress from Topshop to dinner, here's a better picture with all of the girls.

We had a whole section of the restaurant to ourselves which was really nice. It felt like a private event, but really just dinner for 10 people. can't complain for special treatment!

Also, can you believe I got these polishes for 1 dollar each from UO? I couldn't resist to try them. I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly surprised. they were smooth to apply and lasted pretty well so far!

I went to a beauty show this past weekend, it was not planned and we were very rushed through the entire thing. I'm usually very low maintenance with my hair, I don't use a lot of products or do a lot to my hair. but I managed to buy a bunch of hair products that will likely last me a long time (or never finish). So far, they are what I expected. But I've read lots of good reviews about them beforehand so I knew that they wouldn't be disappointing. I also got a bunch of makeup and makeup brushes for dirt cheap price. they are ALL way better than you would imagine 3 dollar makeup to be. So it turned out that our impulsive trip was well worth it!

I took these shots with a friend's macro lens. I'm really loving the blurred background.

Anyways, I hope I get to do an outfit post this weekend, the weather has been gloomy, cold and windy AND SNOWY. WHY? Sadness. I think I complain way too much about weather on my blog..

Finally took pictures with this H&M jacket that I got a while ago. I have been wearing it a lot. I paired it with the white tank from the garden collection and a floral skirt. Originally I envisioned this jacket with a simple tee and boyfriend jeans. but since I am so behind in taking these shots and a lot of bloggers has worn it with denim already, I decided to try something different. I only had five minutes in the morning to put this together and I kinda like it. It was a really bold piece from the garden collection and I have to say that I am loving it more and more.

I made burgers tonight! they turned out awesomely delicious. and check this, I ate two. hahaha piggy much?

Anyways, we have been having some beautiful weather here, everyone's in shorts and skirts. Makes me so happy!! Hope everyone's having a good week!

I got bored and took these pictures on my phone. Hence blurriness. I have been enjoying warm, sunny, breezy weather. It's PERFECTION. I realized I have only recently started appreciating nice weather. I guess it's one of those things you care more and more about as you get older and move around/travel more. I am not looking forward to Canadian "spring", wet snow and spring should not have to exist in the same sentence. like WHY.

Also, I've decided spring is officially my favorite season, but of course real spring, as in sun shining, flower blooming, dress wearing spring. BARE LEGS and all.

p.s. I still know how to ride a bike. it is awesome. though I did not how to brake and it got scary. thankfully no one saw me. It was unattractive.

Sharon tagged me to do a bag post, so here we go.
1. New bag! yay! I really love the shape and color of this bag.
2. Tarte lipglosses, LORAC lipgloss, MAC lipstick
3. Crabtree and Evelyn Rosewater hand cream, can't live without this cream, it keeps my hands moist and it smells SO good.
4. Laura Mercier cream foundation, friend gave it to me and I use it as touch up throughout the day
5. Nars Orgasm and sephora retractable blush brush. I keep this almost used-up blush for when I need some color on my face.
6. Curious George band-aids, it's cute. Usually they are for emergency feet situations, I hardly use band-aids for actual cuts anymore.
7. Kelly Cutrone book, I just started reading, so far so good.
8. iPhone, it's my phone, agenda, music, entertainment. It's everything. has anyone played Plants vs. Zombie? so obsessed, but passed it in a couple of days. WHAT do you play?
9. Canon camera, I only bring it when I remember. Most of the time I'm too lazy to take pictures. It's less awkward to use my phone to snap food pictures.
10. Wallet, got it for my birthday. Isn't the monkey cute? I like this wallet a lot because it is very light. I used a matt&nat wallet for a while and the hardware on it makes it extremely heavy.
11. Keys and mint (not pictured), forgot to take those out.

That's about it. my bag is pretty boring, usually dont have anything I don't need in it as I'm weak sauce and cries when my bag goes over 1 pound. something like that.
Although I have friends who keeps things like lint roller and gym water bottle/shoes and 3 pounds of makeup.

After dessert and some chatting, we decided to get some fries. it was delicious and satisfying.

Perfect Saturday

I was describing to my friend my perfect saturday morning: waking up to beautiful weather, get out of bed late, and then go for sushi at this cozy and bright japanese place that is also great for people watching, I love sitting by the window and see people with their doggies walk by. Tako Yaki (first picture) is one of my favorite dishes to get. and then afterwards, we usually walk to a nearby coffee shop and I always get a white chocolate mocha. then walk around in the sun and do some shopping. It's the best! makes me so happy. :)

Anyways, a while ago Carla asked me to do an outfit with my OTK Guess boots, sorry it took me this long! I wore it with a grey AA sweater and a Zara bf blazer to make the outfit more casual. Hope you like it!

Yay! I finally get a chance to blog! Here's what I wore to meet an old friend for lunch on Saturday! I tried bison for the first time ever! It wasn't too different than steak.

Although I love the socks & heels combination, I don't think I have enough legs to pull the look off. I was experimenting with it and decided to go without the socks. Boo. It may look better if I had been bare legs, so I will give that a try once weather permits! I feel the same way about ankle straps, love them but really hard to wear them well. A lot of the times, I feel like they cut my legs short. Nevertheless, I don't stop buying them!! haha

In my attempt to stay in last weekend, I made food! Lobster bisque and potato pancakes. Yum!

I wore this outfit to sushi and shopping on monday. Gravity Pope was having a buy one get one free sale and I was all, say whattttttttt? and spent the next hour or two searching for shoes. and indeed it was a successful day. It was above 0 degree and we consider that "warm", hence no tights, well that and I was lazy. I am pro at not dressing warm enough in winter, two weeks ago I wore ballet flats with bare feet to yoga while there was a blizzard outside. literally..heres the conversation in my friends car:
" are you kidding me?"
"seriously?"
" I forgot it snowed last night.."
sad thing is we went home midday, just to change. oopsie.

Long weekends are never long enough. How was your Valentines day? I spent majority of my weekend eating, as per usual. I ate at home, wait for it, ONCE during my entire three day weekend, talk about feeling gross. Has anyone watched the movie Valentine's day? This has to be the first time I have ever worn pants in the history of my blog. I got these Zara pants a while ago, I love the high waisted look, it allows me to eat a lot and not look it.
I originally planned this outfit with a black bra and black mesh shirt, but like I said previously, I change so often because the weather just simply does not allow me to wear what I want to wear. and plus I felt a bit too slutty with an exposed black bra for sunday brunch. haha. I will try to be more daring next time!

Haven't been too inspired lately, completely over-wearing my over the knee boots except they are extremely slippery on snow, but somehow I convince myself they are fine every morning.

I should go eat and get ready to go out! Stay warm!

I wore this outfit to a birthday party a while ago. I don't know what I have been doing, but clearly not blogging. I have been reading everyone else's blogs though! The snow depresses me, seriously. You don't understand how many times I change a day, because I will wear something then soon realized I will either 1) die outside or 2) die outside.

and who knew that these 5 inch heels and 1 foot of snow+ice makes your walking look, lets say, unstable and dangerously drunk. We couldn't get home because our friends thought I was unfit to drive and my car was stuck. I DIDN'T EVEN DRINK. see. snow is my enemy.

I have had this silk Zara dress for at least a year now and although I love the print and how light it is. I really didn't like its waistline and how unflattering and awkward it was. So yesterday I decided that I could easily cut the bottom of the dress off and make it into two pieces of clothing. and it actually turned out pretty well. I haven't sewn the skirt yet, so maybe I'm being overconfident. but so far I already like the dress better as just a blouse.

I've been busy since I came back, so I haven't taken many pictures. Since everyone has a new years resolution, I figured I'd do a really realistic and simple one this year.

1. Eat out only once or twice a week

2. Work out and do hot yoga more

3. Set off smoke alarm less frequently

4. Drink less coffee

5. Invest in quality clothing instead of temporarily satisfying ones.

and of course there are a couple of slightly more ambitious goals, but I'll keep them to myself

What did everyone do for new year's eve? There were lots of fireworks in my neighborhood, I stayed in with my family. I wanted to take pictures during the day but we didn't get home until late so lighting was no good. but here are some better pictures of the Givenchy sandals i got. I got these Givenchy heels for Christmas this year. I love them. I will take better pictures with them later. They are brown and have chunky heels and a black bow in the front. I <3 them

I volunteered to cook Christmas dinner this year. We wanted to keep it small and simple. So no party, going out, or going over to anyone's house. which made it extra difficult. small portion means less variety. I found some recipes and it didn't take too long to cook. Here are some pictures, they turned out pretty tasty!

We did early Christmas exchange this year since I was leaving, and I got this gorgeous leather jacket which is super soft and nice. I was so happy and now I get to wear it lots before returning to home where you need to wear 50 pounds heavy jackets or you will die.

About to leave to go see Alvin and the Chipmunks the Squeaquel, soo excited!! it comes out two days before it will in Canada!

Disney World

I'm back from Disney World! It was a fun trip. I love Disney, everything is so cute and happy. definitely puts you in the right mood for the holidays!

we went to Magic Kingdom on the first day, it was my favorite theme park. We were kind of rushed since our flight was delayed for an hour and kind of lost half of a day getting there.

Second day was Animal Kingdom, saw lots of cool animals, Eric got a cheetah facepaint. It was a smaller park so we got to get back to the hotel earlier.

After that, we went to Hollywood studios, there were lots of fun rides. It was raining in the morning so we thought we wouldn't be able to do a lot of things, but it cleared up right when we got there. Overall weather was great the whole time we were there. It got a little chilly towards the end, but still warm for winter.

We took the polar express and met Santa, Eric got to talk to him and told him what he wanted to for Christmas!

My flight was surprisingly pleasant, I was able to fall asleep for an hour which never happens. then I woke up just on time for breakfast and then played games for the rest of the flight on my phone ( best 6 dollars of my life, haha) I will do a Christmas gift post later. but for now, I will show you something I have been patiently waiting for!

Sorry for the cut off head look..I didn't notice until after..I guess these shoes are super tall. The lighting wasn't the best, it was pretty cloudy and dark out. but aren't they the best shoes ever? I am so in love! I'm loving that the nude color adds SO much length. I never feel tall enough. but sometimes I complain about being too tall.. I don't get myself sometimes. haha, so contradictory!

I love CHRISTMAS! I wake up and yell "Christmas!" and get weird stares from my family.. haha. I am planning to cook Christmas dinner this year and make another gingerbread house with my little brother, we will see how it turns out. We are leaving for Disney World tomorrow! I can't wait. I really hope the weather holds up for us so we can fully enjoy our visit!

The inspiration for this outfit came from the sequin bow hair band. Since it was bad hair day, I put it up in a big side bun and used the hair band to dress it up a bit. and one thing lead to another. I put on this fuschia big shoulder dress, It looked like a bad 80s prom dress for a little bit, then I decided to add the white lace skirt and black double belt. First one for warm weather and second one for colder weather. Hope you like it!

Yes I was eating handy while taking pictures.. You cant tell from the picture above but the tights are actual dark purple with dots on them! One more day of work, then I'm escaping winter!

I haven't uploaded in a while! so I have some old pictures to share! I made some treats for my co-workers yesterday. White chocolate covered pretzel sticks and peanuts and wheat squares. they tasted like yummy! Haha.

They were super easy to make and everyone loved them! I made them a part of Christmas gifts to my bosses too.

and then tonight we made a gingerbread house! It was really fun and I was so much better than I thought. I anticipated myself to be a big mess. but nope, I was all " dont mess it up!"

This year I don't really have a wishlist. I had to really think to come up with a few things for those that asked me for a list. And I feel really good about not being overly greedy and materialistic like how I usually am every year. So no "Dear Santa, Love Michelle " this year. I am so happy with all of the gifts I have already received and the ones that are waiting for me to open. That is until I went to Saks Fifth Avenue. then all self-control, appreciation and grace went out of the window. It was seriously like a visual orgasm every 20 seconds. then I DIED and totally broke down and thought " screw being content, I WANT THEM ALL!"
and just a side note, whoever asked the question of sex or shoes? I hesitated before, but if it's for shoes like these. then SHOES. SHOES FOREVER AND ALL THE WAY.

7 Random Things

1: I love shoes. My dream is to one day own a room of beautiful shoes. Currently, I only have a pantry full of shoes. (in my defense, how much room does one for food?)

2. People usually think I am a tough cookie. but I cry in all of the movies I watch. Sometimes even trailers. Drama, comedy, romance, ACTION. I BAWL. Sometimes even Oprah. Really, it's becoming kind of sad.

3.I love my family and I like my family. If I could, I would want to live close to them forever. Sometimes I think I enjoy chatting with my mom more than she enjoys chatting with me. Isn't that against some kind of natural instinctive rule?

4.According to Myers-Briggs, I am an ENTJ (Extravert Intuitive Thinking Judging), they say I am a natural leader. but that is just a fancy word for demanding, assertive and displinary. I am my dad.

5.My biggest fear is to lose my loved ones. and my second biggest fear is to live an ordinary life. I have big plans.

6.I love dressing up! (hence the blog name) If I could wear a big tutu skirt and heels everyday, I WOULD! NO JOKE. One time some girl stopped me in the middle of Wal-mart to ask me where I was going, then later I realized it was because I was "too dressed up" to be developing pictures. You will never find me in sweats. I find tights and a dress just as comfortable.

7.Lastly, to be completely random. I haven't slept properly in the past two days. First night was because when I said "decaf", she heard "MAKE ME STAY UP ALL NIGHT" (to clarify, I drink coffee everyday, but at 9pm, you gotta take decaf) and second night was because I fell asleep at 6pm due to the no sleep I got from the night before and then ended up wide awake at 2am. SO. NOT. FUN.

I haven't taken any outfit pictures because of the snow storm we've had. I am currently hibernating! I will try to take bad lighting pictures some time this week :)

I have been wearing my new blazer lots! I wore this to dinner tonight to meet my friend for our Christmas get together gift exchange thing before I leave. She got me a sewing machine! I am so excited!! I wanted one since summer and now I can finally sew and DIY all of those projects I wanted to do! I am spoiled :)

Anyways, thanks to whoever pulled the fire alarm at work today an hour before everyone was supposed to get off and we had to stand in -15 weather while waiting. Thanks, that was lovely. Not that I'm not thankful for that fact that it is never a real fire. but still..shame on you!

I found this blazer last week when I went shopping with Abby, we were pretty excited considering how long I have been searching for the perfect black blazer.
There is officially snow and ice outside and as you can clearly see, means nothing to me. Not a very warm outfit for strip mall shopping in -5 weather. Oh well. I did manage to find my little brother some shoes. they were so cheap that I just could not pass them up. 5 dollars!!

I wore this to the movies on Friday. It was a long wait since it was opening night, but Jacob's 8 pack made up for it. I definitely appreciate the fact that he was half naked in 90% of the movie. Anyways, the faux fur is actually quite warm. I wanted to dress down, so I wore my flat boots.

We had another photo shoot today. You know, I understand when people say that model's life just isn't that glamorous and mostly really hard work. I'm no model and we don't even have really professional settings but I gotta say that taking pictures is really fun. The fact that you can manipulate makeup and hair to transform you into something different is so much fun. and who doesn't like beautiful photographs?

Sorry for crappy photos, my handy photographer is out of town. hence, self-timer. haha.

This grey scarf is probably one of my favorite accessories in my closet. Mostly because it is so soft and comfortable and its neutral color goes with every outfit. I saw people taking pictures of what's in their purses from a long time ago, always thought it was interesting, but never took the time to do it. Today I saw it from another blog and it reminded me again. I took two pictures because I realized the first one was sort of a "cheat" version of what's actually in my purse, although I usually don't have random receipts and coupons and a letter in my purse. AND I just ran out of mints. So I decided to add in the random things too!

I am just realizing that everything in my purse serves a purpose, I clean my purse almost immediately after shopping or a day out somewhere, just to get rid of the napkins, receipts and random things I put in there without thinking throughout the day.

I guess I am pretty organized, if things in my house don't serve a purpose, either as a functional, sentimental or decorative pieces, I throw them out. I always find that how people sort things in their houses, closets, purses, etc. are interesting. I think it is somewhat reflective of how they sort their emotions. Clearly, I am overly orderly and organized, not too emotional at all. Everything has its category and place. What can I say? it just makes sense to me.

I don't know how I managed to turn the most self-explanatory picture post into this long essay. I am fun! I promise!

I heart this f21 dress. I wanted it the second I saw it and did not hesitate to find 75 dollars of stuff to order with it in order to avoid the shipping fee. I know how illogical that sounds, but it makes sense to me. I do it all the time. It didn't end up showing up in the store so it further confirms my decision to order this dress. It's poufy but not overly done. I am a sucker for all things poufy and short.
